Life As We Know It is about two adults who become full-time carers of an orphaned girl. Katherine Heigl plays Holly Berenson and Josh Duhamel plays Eric Messer. Berenson and Messer become carers for the orphaned girl when their mutual friends die in a accident. They must learn from scratch how to take care of a baby and how to be good parents, without even liking each other after a disastrous first date. Life As We Know It seems to be another romantic comedy, but it may have a more deeper aspect to it. Check it out and tell me what you think. Life As We Know It is out in all cinemas now.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1
This is probably the most anticipated movie of 2010. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 is the first installment of the final movie in this magical series. Part 1, shows how Lord Voldemort's powers are getting stronger, and Voldemort along with his team of evil followers are now in full control of The Ministry of Magic and Hogwarts. Potter, along with Hermione and Ron have decided to honor their late Professor Dumbledore's wishes and finish his work to find the remaining Horcruxes to defeat the cunning Lord Voldemort. But this is easier said than done, as the powers of Lord Voldemort are stronger than ever. Harry, Hermione and Ron must do all they can to make sure Voldemort doesn't succeed in his original plan to kill Harry. By the trailer and by the hysteria surrounding this first part to the "Harry Potter Finale", it looks like this will be a adventure that will keep us on the edge of our seats from start to finish. Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows: Part 1 is released on the 19th of November in all cinemas.

The Tourist
This film looks to be another version of Mr. and Mrs. Smith but with it an edgy twist. The Tourist is about an American tourist Frank (played by Johnny Depp), who visits the majestic country Italy to recover after a difficult break-up, when Elise (played by Angelina Jolie) a very extraordinary women, deliberately gets to know Frank, this is when things start to heat up in more ways than one. The Tourist also stars, English actor Paul Bettany and former James Bond Timothy Dalton. This is shaping up to be the thriller of the year, and with the talent of both Depp and Jolie, I'm sure it will fulfill that title. The Tourist is released on the 10th of December in all major cinemas.
Jackass 3D
As a show Jackass made us laugh, squirm and shiver by the ridiculous stunts that took place. Following the success of the last Jackass film, Johnny Knoxville and the crew are back and crazier than ever. The stunts are bigger, better and badder than ever and knowing the Jackass crew, they are all willing to try them. Jackass's creators have followed the popular trend to make the movie in 3D, which will make the viewing experience more real than ever. Jackass 3D is released on the 5th of November in all major cinemas, but Johnny Knoxville and the crew will be attending the irish premiere in Dublin on halloween night.

Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole
This movie looks set to take the animated world by storm, the animation of this film is nothing like what we have seen in other animated movies, its in a league of its own. Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole is about when the young barn owl Soren is kidnapped by the owls of St.Aggies, a corrupt orphanage who plan to brainwash the young owls into becoming warriors. Soren meets a group of new friends and together they escape to go to the island of Ga'Hoole, to battle against the cruel owls of St.Aggies. The movie is voiced by many famous faces, it stars Helen Mirren, Sam Neill, Geoffrey Rush and Hugo Weaving. The Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole is released on the 22nd of October, and looks like a film both for children and their parents.

Despicable Me
Animated movies have really become the norm since Shrek and Toy Story captivated the younger generations, but this new animated movie Despicable Me seems to risen to the challenge of competing with the big animation movies. Despicable Me is about a criminal mastermind Gru( played by Steve Carell) uses three orphans as pawns in his grand plan to steal the moon, but as he spends more time with the orphans, he finds himself falling in love with them and becoming some what of a father to them. The movie also stars Russell Brand as a mad professor Dr.Nefario and Julie Andrews as Gru's loving but naive mother. Despicable Me is out in all major cinemas, and it looks to be the big animation movie of 2010.

Due Date
Due date is about a highly strung dad to be Peter Highman (Robert Downey Jr) whose only option to make the birth of his child, is to hitch a ride with a struggling actor (Zach Galifianakis, Alan from the Hangover) on a road trip from hell. This looks like a well made comedy with two great comedic actors, it also stars rapper Jamie Foxx. Robert Downey Jr isn’t usually in comedy movies, but his quick wit and humour along with Galifianakis's natural humour will make this movie, one not to be missed. Due date is released on the 5th of November, and I'm sure it will be a hit.
Paranormal Activity 2
I bet you never thought you would see a sequel to this extremely scary film but this is it. Paranormal Activity 2 is the sequel to the popular fright fest that was the original. The sequel is about a family who set up cameras around their house, when they think the occurrences in the house are as a result of a series of 'break-ins', but they soon realize that the occurrences are more deadly then they seemed. Audiences around the world were terrified of this film, which looks like it has been shot on a handy cam, which may be the main reason why it is so freaky. The creators hope to do the same with the sequel but who knows, it may fall into the category of bad sequels e.g. The Matrix Revolutions. Paranormal Activity 2 is released on the 22nd of October, just in time for Halloween.

Red
Red is an action packed new movie but with a difference, the cast are not actors who are prone to playing these action roles, they are well established and in my opinion all great actors. Red is about a high tech assassin Frank Moses (played by Bruce Willis) who assembles his old team of assassins for a very important mission. Red also stars Academy Award winners Morgan Freeman and Helen Mirren, and John Malkovich. Red is released in all major cinemas on the 22nd of October. The trailer is below...
Saw 3D
After six Saw movies, comes The Final Chapter, the movies dramatic tag line. But this time, the creators of the gruesome franchise have decided to make the fans more involved by making the movie 3D. Over the years, Saw has outdone itself on the sick scenes of torture and murder, from a hole full of syringes to a death assault course, but I have a feeling this time they have gone all out. I have to say that I am looking forward to see wheter the whole 3D experience works with this kind of film, and I will be definitely going to see this final chapter in such a horrific film franchise. The film stars its main character for many of the movies Tobin Bell, who also stars in the hit show '24'. Saw 3D is released in all major cinemas on the 29th of October. The trailers link is below...

Buried
I have had mixed reviews about this movie, some people thought the fact that the movie takes place entirely in a coffin for 105 minutes was a bit boring, but others argued that the beauty of this movie was that it was set entirely in a coffin and the story still seems interesting. Buried stars Ryan Reynolds, famous for his roles in numerous chick flicks like the Proposal. Buried is out now in all major cinemas. The trailer is in the link below.

The Social Network
I am really excited to see this new movie based on the addictive website Facebook. The movie shows how the social networking site was created and the obstacles that the creators had to face, to achieve what they have today. It stars Jesse Eisenberg, a new and upcoming actor, who was also in the indie movie Adventureland. And it also stars pop star Justin Timberlake, who plays Eisenberg's right hand man. The Social Network is out now in all major cinemas.
The Other Guys
I recently saw the new Will Ferrell movie, The Other Guys. The movie is about two cops that aren’t taken seriously at all; they are seen as a joke to the other cops. Samuel Jackson and Dwayne Johnson aka the Rock have a small cameo in this movie, they play the well-respected and loved police officers, and they are like the William sisters of the police world. After they become unable to complete their jobs, Will Ferrell and his very aggressive partner Mark Wahlberg become the hot shots as they discover a lead on a corrupt entrepreneur, played by Steve Coogan. The film is like Police Academy meets the Scary Movie trilogy, its not very good, there are a few parts worth watching and also a few funny bits, but overall its just another poor Will Ferrell movie, with a few good cameos but If I was you id wait till it came out on dvd.
